Team Ugly hosts 2013 Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

We're having an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!

Team Ugly to host 5th Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party in Crown Point, IN on Saturday, December 21, 2013.

Fricke's Bar and Recreation, known for their over-the-top Christmas and holiday decorations, will be the perfect scene for this year's event! Come dressed in your Ugliest Christmas Sweaters, Vests, Turtlenecks, Cardigans, Swants (sweater pants) or whatever your creative mind can conjure up! Join us for food, drinks and prizes - free bowling if you wear an Ugly sweater!

We're changing up the format this year, and while everyone is asked to wear their Ugliest and most tacky Christmas sweaters, we would like for everyone to help us provide Hope for the Holidays by bringing 5 or more canned, non-perishable foods or a suggested minimum donation of $5.00 to the event!

This year, our goal is to have a great time, get ugly, and support the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana - you can help by bringing the following most popular and requested items:

Oatmeal

Peanut Butter

Mac & Cheese

Canned Fruit

Canned Vegetables

Canned Tuna

Canned Meats

Pasta

If you're unable to join us, or wish to make a monetary donation online, please use the following secure method (via PayPal) to help us better serve our community through the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.

About Team Ugly

Brian Miller, Adam Paulson and Kevin Wool - better known as "Team Ugly" are three college friends turned business partners and owners of www.UglyChristmasSweaterParty.com the online mega store opened in 2009 and is home to 10,000 Ugly, Vintage, Tacky and Festive Christmas Sweaters.  Their big business that ships sweaters to all corners of the globe, even military battleships, is operated out of a small warehouse space in Crown Point, Indiana, about 30 minutes outside of Chicago.

The fad that has become a phenomenon voyages out into another season of pub crawls, office parties, fundraisers and good ole' fashion house parties!

"We're incredibly excited to continue our efforts to host the most fun and ugly Christmas sweater parties in the world, and at the same time, help a local organization that provides so much assistance to our surrounding community." said Brian Miller, Co-Owner and Founder of www.UglyChristmasSweaterParty.com

"This is the time of year that everyone wants to celebrate the holiday season, spend time with family and friends, but most importantly give thanks for what we have and share our blessings with those that could use a helping hand." added Wool.

"All of the food and monetary donations will be given to the Food Bank of NWI, and what's really incredible is that their organization can feed five meals for every $1.00 donated! We're going to have a great time and help our community in a big way!" mentioned Paulson.

More about the Food Bank of NWI

Since its inception in 1982, the Food Bank of NWI has distributed more than 100 million pounds of food. We supply food to more than 110 agencies who serve the poor, children, elderly, or people in crisis.

Last year more than 5.1 million pounds of food were distributed to agencies serving those in need with enough food to feed more than 10,000 people each week. The Food Bank’s administrative and fundraising costs are only 3%. This means that 97 cents out of every dollar donated goes back to provide food to those in need.
